Challenges We Faced

The project was built entirely on Shopify’s default Dawn theme, requiring us to work within its structural limitations while customizing layouts and functionality to meet brand expectations. Speed was also a priority–we needed to optimize every visual and interaction for performance without losing design polish.

In addition, the client wanted subtle scroll-based animations that would enhance the user experience without overwhelming it. Balancing those animations with Shopify-native responsiveness took careful front-end planning and testing.

  • Shopify UX/UI Design for a Minimalist Brand:

Our Development Process

Discovery phase

We collaborated with the Milltown team to define layout priorities, map out product presentation needs, and align on animation style. Special attention was given to how the product should appear in both desktop and mobile views, ensuring consistency and polish across devices.

Development phase

Our developers rebuilt the entire storefront within Shopify, using the Dawn theme as a foundation. Custom animation triggers were added to enhance scroll experience, and the overall layout was optimized for fast load times. We delivered all functionality–including homepage, collections, product detail pages, and cart–ready for launch and fully tested.

The project was completed ahead of schedule, with the client satisfied not only by the design but by the seamless execution and site speed.
