Challenges We Faced
TrailerValet came to LitOS with a clear expectation: deliver a website that performed better than their old one, both visually and technically. The existing site lacked modern design polish and was increasingly difficult to manage and scale.
One of the key challenges was optimizing the new Shopify build for speed and performance without sacrificing design flexibility. With a wide range of product types and accessories, we also needed to ensure the storefront remained structured, searchable, and fast across all device types.
Our Approach & Solutions
Our Development Process
We began by auditing the original website and gathering insights on what wasn’t working; visually, structurally, and technically. Working with the TrailerValet team, we outlined the new content structure, key design requirements, and technical priorities, with a strong focus on speed and responsiveness. We also mapped out each third-party app integration to ensure backend processes like tax management, inventory sync, and upselling would be seamless in the final build.
Once the discovery work was complete, we transitioned into development with a clear focus on speed, structure, and UX consistency. The team redesigned and rebuilt key page templates, including the homepage, collection listings, and product detail views, to improve hierarchy, streamline navigation, and reduce friction in the shopping journey.
To ensure performance didn’t suffer as complexity increased, we wrote lean code, optimized media assets, and built flexible, mobile-responsive layouts from the ground up. Special care was taken to balance custom functionality with fast load times, so users could navigate the site smoothly across any device.
On the backend, we implemented integrations across inventory, tax, upselling, and customer engagement; creating a system that runs efficiently without overburdening the Shopify environment. Throughout development, we worked closely with the TrailerValet team to align deliverables with business needs and keep the process running on schedule.
Impact & Key Results
The new TrailerValet site now delivers a faster, more structured user experience that matches the brand’s product quality. Customers can browse confidently, find what they need quickly, and engage with product content that’s clearer and more conversion-focused.
With streamlined page templates and backend automations in place, the TrailerValet team now benefits from a storefront that’s easier to manage, and better equipped to grow.
Summary
This project reflects LitOS’s ability to deliver precision-built Shopify stores for product-heavy brands like TrailerValet. With an emphasis on speed, clarity, and system integration, we created a storefront that supports both engineering-grade products and modern eCommerce expectations.
